
Sr. Radiation Oncology Therapist
Johns Hopkins Medicine is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sr. Radiation Oncology Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, safe, and effective radiation therapy to oncology patients. This is a great opportunity for a professional with a passion for patient care and the highest ethical standards.To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 5 years of experience providing radiation oncology therapy, a current RTT or RT(T) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, and a bachelor's degree in radiation therapy or another related field. In addition, you must have excellent problem-solving and communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a compassionate approach when working with patients. Responsibilities:
-Administer radiation therapy treatments according to established protocols
-Monitor and document patient response to treatment -Provide education and support to patients and their families -Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records -Assist with radiation therapy planning and simulation -Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient care -Adhere to radiation safety protocols and procedures -Perform quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment -Stay up-to-date on the latest radiation therapy techniques and technologies
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment
Excellent Interpersonal And Communication Skills
Minimum Bachelor's Degree In Radiation Therapy
Certified As A Radiation Therapist (Rtt) By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt)
Registration With The Maryland Board Of Physicians
Experience In A Radiation Oncology Setting
Knowledge Of Radiation Oncology Treatment Techniques And Physics
Ability To Operate Medical Imaging Equipment
