Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking an experienced and passionate Specialty Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing clinical support to specialty pharmacy patients and staff. You will apply your knowledge of pharmacy practice, clinical pharmacy services, and patient-centered care to ensure a positive patient experience. Responsibilities:

  1. Meeting with specialty pharmacy patients to assess their needs and provide clinical support, counseling, and education.
  2. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to create and implement patient care plans.
  3. Assisting with specialty pharmacy staff in managing patient care-related tasks, including data entry, medication refills, and prior authorization requests.
  4. Developing and delivering clinical education programs and services for specialty pharmacy staff and patients.
  5. Monitoring and assessing patient outcomes and developing strategies for improvement.
  6. Maintaining knowledge of current pharmacy practice, clinical pharmacy services, and patient-centered care standards.
  7. Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines.
  8. Participating in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects.
  9. Assisting with the development and implementation of new policies and procedures.
  10. Participating in professional development activities to stay up-to-date on the latest trends in specialty pharmacy.
