
Sonographer

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience as a Sonographer with a strong technical background and excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities of a Sonographer at Johns Hopkins Medicine:
- Perform ultrasound scans following established protocols and standards.
- Utilize imaging equipment to acquire diagnostic images and provide patient information to physicians.
- Maintain accurate records of patient data and imaging results.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a sterile work environment.
- Maintain knowledge of current technological advances in ultrasound imaging.
- Educate patients on the imaging procedure and answer any questions they may have.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure patient care is provided in a comprehensive and timely manner.
- Develop and implement quality assurance initiatives for ultrasound imaging.
- Assist with research projects related to ultrasound imaging.
