Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Site Supervisor-Health Information Management to join our team at Johns Hopkins Medicine. The ideal candidate will have a passion for leading a team of health information management professionals to deliver the highest quality records processing and patient care. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the department, as well as providing support to the medical staff and ensuring that all health information is accurate and compliant with applicable rules and regulations.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or equivalent field• 5+ years’ experience in health information management• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills• Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of health information systems• Knowledge of HIPAA and other applicable regulations and standards• Ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with staff, physicians, and other stakeholdersIf you have a passion for health information management and are looking to make a significant contribution to the Johns Hopkins Medicine team, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that all health information is accurate and compliant with applicable rules and regulations, including HIPAA.
  2. Manage the day-to-day operations of the health information management department.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure quality record processing and patient care.
  4. Oversee the work of health information management professionals.
  5. Assist the medical staff in resolving health information queries.
  6. Monitor staff performance and provide guidance and feedback.
  7. Implement effective strategies to improve the operations of the department.
  8. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of health information systems and technologies.
  9. Address any customer complaints in a timely manner.
  10. Ensure that all records are maintained in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
