Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field: A Senior Intraoperative Monitoring Technician At Johns Hopkins Medicine Is Expected To Have A Strong Foundation In Neuroscience, Biology, Or A Related Field To Understand The Complex Processes Of The Nervous System.
Certification In Intraoperative Neuromonitoring: Candidates Should Be Certified By The American Board Of Registration Of Electroencephalographic And Evoked Potential Technologists (Abret) As A Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R. Eeg T.) Or A Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (R. Psg T.).
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Intraoperative Neuromonitoring: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience As An Intraoperative Monitoring Technologist, With A Proven Track Record Of Successful Monitoring And Interpreting Of Neurophysiological Data.
Strong Technical Skills: Senior Intraoperative Monitoring Technicians Should Possess Strong Technical Skills, Including Proficiency In Various Intraoperative Monitoring Modalities Such As Somatosensory Evoked Potentials, Motor Evoked Potentials, And Electroencephalography.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Senior Intraoperative Monitoring Technician, The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, And Other Members Of The Surgical Team Is Essential. Candidates Should Also Have A Proven Ability To Work Collaboratively In A Fast-Paced, High-Pressure Environment.
