
Release of Information Specialist

The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of HIPAA/HITECH regulations, the ability to effectively navigate electronic health records (EHRs), and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Responsibilities of a Release of Information (ROI) Specialist:
- Process and manage requests for medical records in accordance with HIPAA/HITECH regulations.
- Accurately navigate electronic health records (EHRs) to locate and retrieve requested medical records.
- Ensure that patient information is kept confidential at all times.
- Process requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service in response to patient inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of all patient requests.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
- Stay up to date with relevant HIPAA/HITECH regulations and guidelines.
- Follow all safety and security protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
