- Provide specialized care and treatments for patients with unique wound, ostomy, and continence needs.
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on wound, ostomy, and continence care and self-management strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and timely interventions.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in wound, ostomy, and continence care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and treatment plans.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families during difficult and sensitive situations.
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition and respond promptly to any emergencies.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of practice.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution: A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required For This Position To Ensure That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Nursing Knowledge And Skills.
Current Registered Nurse (Rn) Licensure In The State Of Maryland: This Qualification Is Essential As It Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Met The Requirements Set By The State Board Of Nursing To Practice As A Registered Nurse.
Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Certification (Wocn): Candidates Must Possess A Wocn Certification To Demonstrate Their Specialized Knowledge In Wound, Ostomy, And Continence Care.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Wound, Ostomy, And Continence Nursing: This Position Requires A Candidate With A Strong Background And Experience In Wound, Ostomy, And Continence Care To Ensure The Delivery Of High-Quality Patient Care.
Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: As A Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse, The Candidate Must Possess Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Educate Patients And Their Families On Wound And Ostomy Care. Strong Critical Thinking Skills Are Also Necessary To Assess And Manage Complex Cases.
