  • Provide compassionate and exceptional care to mothers and newborns
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
  • Monitor and assess patients' physical and emotional well-being before, during, and after birth
  • Educate patients and families on prenatal, postpartum, and newborn care, including breastfeeding, nutrition, and safety measures
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Document all patient care and interventions accurately and timely
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and families
  • Assist with deliveries and provide support to physicians during procedures
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions
  • Act as a resource for patients and families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have
  • Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in OB/perinatal nursing through continuing education and participation in professional organizations
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
  • Serve as a mentor and role model for other nurses and healthcare professionals in the unit
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient information and comply with HIPAA regulations.
