  1. Provide skilled and compassionate care to premature and critically ill newborns in the NICU.
  2. Monitor and assess the condition of newborns, including vital signs, development, and response to treatment.
  3. Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
  5. Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to quickly respond to changes in a patient's condition.
  6. Educate parents and families on newborn care and provide emotional support during their baby's hospital stay.
  7. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.
  8. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  9. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on best practices and advancements in neonatal nursing.
  10. Serve as a resource and mentor for less experienced team members.
  11. Advocate for patient and family needs and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  12. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, following infection control protocols.
  13. Demonstrate professionalism and ethical conduct in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  14. Embrace and promote the mission and values of Johns Hopkins Medicine.
  15. Continuously strive for excellence in patient care and contribute to the overall success of the NICU team.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree From An Accredited University

  • Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Maryland Or Compact State

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Nicu)

  • Current Certification In Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Nrp)

  • Bls And Acls Certification From The American Heart Association
