  1. Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at Johns Hopkins Medicine.
  2. Utilize advanced knowledge and skills in critical care nursing to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for critically ill patients.
  4. Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and medications, and make appropriate adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.
  5. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families by adhering to infection control guidelines and promoting patient and family education.
  6. Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring that patient needs and preferences are communicated and respected by the healthcare team.
  7. Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge in critical care nursing.
  8. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members to promote positive patient outcomes.
  9. Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory and accreditation standards.
  10. Contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge through research by participating in studies and sharing findings with colleagues.
  11. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice, including maintaining patient confidentiality.
  12. Foster a culture of excellence and teamwork by demonstrating a positive attitude and willingness to support and assist colleagues.
  13. Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members.
  14. Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to support the overall mission and goals of Johns Hopkins Medicine.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing And Current Rn Licensure In The State Of Maryland.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Critical Care Setting, Preferably In A Medical Icu.

  • Bls And Acls Certification.

  • Knowledge Of Advanced Medical Procedures And Equipment Used In The Icu Setting.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.
