  1. Provide compassionate and dedicated care to patients undergoing transplant procedures.
  2. Collaborate with a team of physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  3. Utilize strong clinical skills to assess, plan, and implement patient care.
  4. Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatment and communicate any changes or concerns to the medical team.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
  6. Educate patients and their families about transplant procedures, medications, and post-operative care.
  7. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  9. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  10. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements and best practices in transplant nursing.
  11. Maintain open and effective communication with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  12. Adhere to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of illness and maintain a safe and clean environment.
  13. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families during a challenging and life-changing time.
  14. Demonstrate a commitment to quality improvement and participate in process improvement initiatives.
  15. Serve as a role model for other nursing staff and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn Licensure In The State Of Maryland.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Acute Care Setting, Preferably In A Transplant Unit.

  • Bsn Degree From An Accredited Nursing Program.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications.

  • Knowledge And Experience In Caring For Patients Undergoing Organ Transplantation, Including Pre-Operative And Post-Operative Care.
