- Provide exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures in the Cardiac Cath EP Lab.
- Utilize strong knowledge and experience in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology to assist in patient care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their condition before, during, and after procedures.
- Administer medications and assist with procedures as directed by physicians.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including documentation of procedures and medications administered.
- Educate patients and their families about procedures, medications, and post-procedure care.
- Ensure proper functioning of equipment and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to established protocols, procedures, and safety standards in the Cardiac Cath EP Lab.
- Participate in departmental meetings and trainings to stay current on advancements in cardiac care.
- Serve as a patient advocate and address any concerns or questions they may have.
- Continuously assess and improve upon patient care processes to enhance the overall patient experience.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify areas for improvement and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and conferences.
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Johns Hopkins Medicine and represent the organization in a professional manner at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution Is Required For A Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Ep Lab Position At Johns Hopkins Medicine.
Active Rn License: Candidates Must Possess A Valid And Active Rn License In The State Of Maryland Or Be Eligible To Obtain One. This Demonstrates A Baseline Level Of Knowledge And Competency In The Nursing Field.
Experience In Cardiac Cath Ep Lab: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Cardiac Cath Ep Lab Setting Is Preferred For This Position. This Experience Should Include Knowledge Of Cardiac Procedures, Equipment, And Patient Care In This Specialized Area.
Acls Certification: Candidates Must Have A Current And Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification To Ensure They Have The Necessary Skills To Respond To Emergencies In The Cardiac Cath Ep Lab.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: Working In A Cardiac Cath Ep Lab Requires Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills. Candidates Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals, As Well As Work Collaboratively In A Fast-Paced Environment.
