- Provide compassionate and skilled care to patients in psychiatric crisis within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Collaborate with other members of the Emergency Department team to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to accurately diagnose and treat patients.
- Administer appropriate medications and treatments to patients in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to provide education and support.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and provide input on patient care plans.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in the field of psychiatry.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and promoting positive patient outcomes.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for patients, colleagues, and visitors.
- Attend trainings, meetings, and conferences as required to maintain licensure and knowledge of current practices.

Degree In Psychology Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Psychology Or A Related Field Is Required For This Position. A Master's Degree Or Higher Is Preferred.
Experience In Emergency Or Crisis Settings: Previous Experience Working In An Emergency Department Or Crisis Setting, Such As A Psychiatric Emergency Room, Is Highly Desirable For This Role.
Knowledge Of Mental Health Disorders And Treatments: A Strong Understanding Of Various Mental Health Disorders, Their Symptoms, And Treatment Options Is Necessary For This Position. Previous Experience Working With Patients Who Have Mental Health Disorders Is Preferred.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Crucial In This Role. Strong Interpersonal Skills And The Ability To Remain Calm And Professional In High-Stress Situations Are Also Essential.
State Licensure And Certification: Candidates Must Hold A Valid State License To Practice As A Psychiatric Professional, Such As A Psychologist Or Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Additional Certification In Emergency Psychiatry Is Preferred.
