  1. Provide compassionate and safe care to patients with mental health needs.
  2. Ensure the safety and well-being of patients during their treatment at Johns Hopkins Medicine.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  4. Monitor patients for any changes in behavior or condition and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  5. Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  6. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and document all patient interactions.
  8. Create a supportive and therapeutic environment for patients by actively listening and providing emotional support.
  9. Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment plans, and coping strategies.
  10. Adhere to all safety protocols and policies to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  11. Continuously assess and improve patient care by participating in ongoing training and education opportunities.
  12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to identify and address any potential risks or concerns for patient safety.
  13. Foster a positive and professional relationship with patients, families, and colleagues.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all patient interactions.
  15. Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent Johns Hopkins Medicine with integrity and compassion.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification

  • Completion Of A Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Program

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Psychiatric Or Behavioral Health Unit

  • Ability To Effectively Communicate And Work With Patients Who Have Mental Health Diagnoses And/Or Behavioral Problems.
