High School Diploma Or Equivalent: Candidates For The Psych Safety Patient Care Technician Position Should Possess At Least A High School Diploma Or Equivalent In Order To Meet Basic Education Requirements.
Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Prior Experience As A Cna Is Preferred For This Role, As It Demonstrates A Basic Understanding Of Patient Care And Medical Terminology.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Candidates Should Be Certified In Bls, Demonstrating Their Ability To Respond To Emergency Situations And Provide Basic Medical Care.
Prior Experience In A Mental Health Setting: Candidates With Prior Experience In A Mental Health Setting Will Be Better Equipped To Handle The Unique Challenges And Needs Of Patients In The Psych Safety Unit.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Build Rapport With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members Is Essential For Success In This Role.
