Job Description

Johns Hopkins Medicine is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented PRN Staff Pharmacist to provide optimal pharmaceutical care to our patients. In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective use of medications. The ideal candidate should have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, at least 5 years of applicable experience, and current licensure in Maryland. This position requires excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, as well as a commitment to exceptional patient service. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide pharmaceutical care and advice to patients according to Johns Hopkins Medicine standards.
  2. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective use of medications.
  3. Monitor drug therapies, recommend appropriate dosages, and assist in the selection of drug products.
  4. Maintain patient records and document all prescriptions, interactions, and other related information.
  5. Perform medication-use reviews and reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  6. Evaluate drug orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.
  7. Stay up-to-date with current pharmaceutical trends and regulations.
  8. Monitor and order inventory levels as needed.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service to patients.
  10. Utilize excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
