- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to understand their specific needs and requirements for the design of healthcare spaces.
- Conduct research on industry trends and best practices in healthcare design to ensure our facilities are up-to-date and innovative.
- Create detailed plans, drawings, and specifications for healthcare spaces, considering factors such as functionality, safety, and aesthetics.
- Utilize software and other tools to create digital models and renderings of designs for presentation and review.
- Ensure that all designs comply with regulatory standards and guidelines for healthcare facilities.
- Work closely with contractors and vendors to ensure that design plans are accurately executed during the construction process.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to stay on track with project timelines and budgets.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing healthcare spaces to optimize patient experience and operational efficiency.
- Stay informed about advancements in healthcare technology and equipment and incorporate them into design plans as appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including patients, staff, and leadership, to gather feedback and incorporate it into design plans.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of design plans and project progress.
- Stay current with emerging trends and industry developments in healthcare design and share knowledge with the team.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent Johns Hopkins Medicine at all times.
- Continuously strive to improve and enhance the overall patient experience through innovative and effective design solutions.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Architecture, Urban Planning, Or Related Field.
At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Designing And Planning Healthcare Facilities.
Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Design Guidelines, Regulations, And Codes.
Proficiency In Autocad, Revit, And Other Design Software.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Work With Various Stakeholders And Team Members.
