
Physical Therapist Assistant
At Johns Hopkins Medicine, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field, along with a valid state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant. They must have a minimum of two years' experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant, and demonstrate an understanding of evidence-based practice. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate must be committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients. We are looking for a passionate and hardworking individual who is eager to learn and grow with our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to patients according to evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for each patient.
- Monitor the progress of patients and make adjustments to treatment plans when necessary.
- Maintain all required documentation and records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Educate patients and families on the benefits of physical therapy and provide guidance on the proper use of therapeutic exercises and techniques.
- Serve as a resource for other healthcare professionals and provide guidance in the delivery of physical therapy services.
- Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations related to the practice of physical therapy.
- Participate in continuing education activities to maintain and improve professional skills.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
