Job Description

At Johns Hopkins Medicine, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. We are committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients and we pride ourselves on providing a supportive and welcoming work environment. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field, along with a valid state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant. They must have a minimum of two years' experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant, and demonstrate an understanding of evidence-based practice. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate must be committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients. We are looking for a passionate and hardworking individual who is eager to learn and grow with our team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide physical therapy services to patients according to evidence-based practice guidelines.
  2. Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for each patient.
  3. Monitor the progress of patients and make adjustments to treatment plans when necessary.
  4. Maintain all required documentation and records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  5. Educate patients and families on the benefits of physical therapy and provide guidance on the proper use of therapeutic exercises and techniques.
  6. Serve as a resource for other healthcare professionals and provide guidance in the delivery of physical therapy services.
  7. Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations related to the practice of physical therapy.
  8. Participate in continuing education activities to maintain and improve professional skills.
  9. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  10. Work collaboratively and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
