  1. Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  2. Administer evidence-based interventions and techniques to improve patients' physical function and mobility.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team to provide education and updates on treatment progress.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists and physicians, to develop comprehensive care plans for patients.
  6. Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in physical therapy to provide the highest quality of care.
  7. Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure patient progress and satisfaction.
  8. Educate patients on home exercise programs and provide resources for continued rehabilitation after discharge.
  9. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  10. Participate in departmental meetings, training, and continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  11. Maintain professional licensure and meet all standards of practice for physical therapy.
  12. Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach in all interactions with patients and their families.
  13. Contribute to the overall mission and values of Johns Hopkins Medicine by providing exceptional care and service to patients and the community.

Job Qualifications
  • A Doctor Of Physical Therapy (Dpt) Degree From An Accredited Program: This Is A Minimum Requirement For Any Physical Therapist Position At Johns Hopkins Medicine. The Dpt Degree Ensures That The Candidate Has Received Necessary Education And Clinical Training To Practice As A Physical Therapist.

  • State Licensure: All Applicants Must Hold A Valid Physical Therapy License In The State Of Maryland. This Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Met The State's Requirements For Education, Clinical Experience, And Competency In The Field Of Physical Therapy.
