- Provide emotional support and guidance to pediatric oncology patients and their families.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients and families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Facilitate support groups and educational programs for patients and families.
- Connect families with community resources and support services.
- Advocate for patients and families, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
- Assist with financial and insurance-related issues, such as navigating insurance coverage and coordinating financial assistance.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and documentation.
- Continuously evaluate and adjust treatment plans to meet the changing needs of patients and families.
- Participate in team meetings and provide updates on patient progress and needs.
- Provide crisis intervention and support during difficult situations.
- Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in pediatric oncology social work.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a holistic approach to patient care.
- Serve as a resource for other staff members regarding social work support for pediatric oncology patients.

Master's Degree In Social Work From An Accredited University
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In Pediatric Oncology Or Related Field
Licensure As A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Lcsw) In The State Of Maryland
Experience Working With Children And Families In A Healthcare Setting
Knowledge Of Psychosocial Needs And Resources For Pediatric Oncology Patients And Their Families
