  1. Serve as a key point of contact for patients and their families in the Adult Emergency Department, addressing their needs and concerns in a timely and empathetic manner.
  2. Maintain a thorough understanding of the healthcare system and the resources available to patients, providing information and guidance as needed.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, utilizing strong verbal and written communication skills to advocate for patients in times of crisis.
  4. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to patient care.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  6. Stay up-to-date on current healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations, and apply them in daily interactions with patients and families.
  7. Demonstrate a high level of empathy and understanding towards patients and their families, offering support and reassurance during times of stress and uncertainty.
  8. Utilize problem-solving skills to address any conflicts or concerns that may arise between patients and healthcare team members.
  9. Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor at all times, representing the hospital and its values to patients and their families.
  10. Collaborate with other patient representatives and hospital staff to continuously improve patient satisfaction and experience.
  11. Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard throughout their healthcare journey.
  12. Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance knowledge and skills in patient advocacy and communication.
  13. Maintain a positive and welcoming environment in the Emergency Department, creating a sense of comfort and safety for patients and their families.
  14. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as ethical and legal standards, in all interactions with patients and their families.
  15. Take initiative to identify and address any potential issues or concerns that may impact patient care or experience.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Emergency Department Or Patient Advocacy.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Professionals.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Insurance Processes.

  • Ability To Handle Sensitive And Confidential Information With Professionalism And Maintain Strict Confidentiality.
