- Provide exceptional care to patients by delivering high-quality and nutritious meals during their stay at Johns Hopkins Medicine.
- Work as part of a team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of meals to patients.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Ensure patient dietary restrictions and preferences are taken into consideration when preparing and delivering meals.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to address any patient concerns or special dietary needs.
- Maintain accurate records of patient meal orders and delivery.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Follow established procedures for food preparation, storage, and delivery to maintain food quality and safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including kitchen equipment and storage areas.
- Adhere to departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
- Complete all required training and education to ensure compliance with food service standards and regulations.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of patient confidentiality and privacy laws.
- Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: Candidates For This Prn Position Should Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Previous Food Service Experience: Prior Experience In A Food Service Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting, Is Preferred For This Position.
Knowledge Of Food Safety And Sanitation Guidelines: A Thorough Understanding Of Food Safety And Sanitation Guidelines, As Well As Proper Food Handling Techniques, Is Important For Maintaining The Safety And Well-Being Of Patients.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Provide Excellent Customer Service Is Essential In This Role, As The Prn Staff Will Be Interacting With Patients And Their Families On A Daily Basis.
Ability To Work Flexible Hours: The Prn Staff Will Be Required To Work A Variety Of Shifts, Including Weekends And Holidays, To Ensure Coverage For Meal Service. Flexibility In Scheduling Is A Key Qualification For This Position.
