Job Description

Johns Hopkins Medicine is looking for an experienced and compassionate Patient Care Technician - ER/Trauma to join our Emergency Department team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care to patients and their families in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for delivering outstanding patient care and possess a positive attitude.Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent• At least one year of Emergency or Trauma patient care experience• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care equipment

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  2. Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate a genuine passion for delivering outstanding patient care.
  3. Assist with patient care activities, including assessing vital signs, changing bandages, and helping patients to move in and out of beds.
  4. Monitor and record patient vital signs and other health indicators.
  5. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital regulations.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare personnel.
  7. Follow safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
  8. Ensure all medical equipment is functioning properly and clean.
  9. Document patient records accurately and completely.
  10. Keep up to date with any new developments in patient care and medical technology.
