As the Patient Access Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient registration process for our patients.   1. Oversee the patient registration process and ensure it is efficient and accurate.
  2. Train and supervise a team of patient access representatives to ensure they provide exceptional customer service to patients.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the patient registration process.
  4. Monitor and analyze patient access data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless patient experience from registration to discharge.
  6. Resolve any patient complaints or issues related to the registration process.
  7. Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding insurance verification, authorization, and billing processes.
  8. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to patient access.
  9. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
  10. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in patient access and make recommendations for improvement.
  11. Handle any escalated or complex patient registration situations.
  12. Serve as a liaison between patients, staff, and management to address any registration-related concerns.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing Johns Hopkins Medicine.
  14. Participate in departmental meetings and provide updates on patient access initiatives.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In Healthcare, Preferably In A Patient Access Or Registration Role.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Healthcare Insurance Plans, Regulations, And Reimbursement Processes.

  • Experience With Electronic Health Record Systems, Preferably Epic.

  • Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Collaborate With Other Departments.
