  1. Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations to assist in formulating treatment plans.
  2. Assist in surgical procedures by providing pre-operative and post-operative care.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
  4. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans.
  5. Educate patients and their families on disease management, medications, and post-operative care.
  6. Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  7. Respond to patient inquiries and concerns in a compassionate and professional manner.
  8. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and make recommendations for optimal care.
  9. Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the field of general surgery and implement evidence-based practices into patient care.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  11. Collaborate with other PAs and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  12. Provide support and guidance to less experienced PAs and other healthcare staff.
  13. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  14. Participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives to enhance patient care.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and development through continuing education and professional organizations.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Physician Assistant Studies From An Accredited Program.

  • Current Certification And Licensure As A Physician Assistant In The State Of Maryland.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Physician Assistant In A Surgical Setting, Preferably In General Surgery.

  • Strong Clinical Skills And Knowledge In The Assessment, Diagnosis, And Treatment Of Surgical Patients.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team-Based Environment.
