
Nutrition Inventory Specialist

- Maintain accurate inventory records: The Nutrition Inventory Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all nutrition inventory records are up-to-date and accurate, including tracking stock levels, expiration dates, and product information.
- Monitor inventory levels: This role will require regularly monitoring nutrition inventory levels and anticipating any potential shortages or overages. The Nutrition Inventory Specialist will work closely with other team members to proactively manage inventory levels to ensure that all patient needs are met.
- Order and receive inventory: The Nutrition Inventory Specialist will be responsible for placing orders for new inventory and receiving and inspecting incoming shipments. This will involve coordinating with vendors and ensuring that all products are received in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform inventory audits: In order to maintain accuracy, the Nutrition Inventory Specialist will conduct regular audits of the nutrition inventory. This will involve physically counting products and comparing them to inventory records.
- Communicate with team members: The Nutrition Inventory Specialist will work closely with other team members, including nurses, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure that all patient needs are met. This may involve discussing inventory levels and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization: This role will also involve ensuring that the nutrition inventory area is clean, organized, and free of clutter. The Nutrition Inventory Specialist will be responsible for properly storing and labeling all products.
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies: If any discrepancies are found during audits or inventory management, the Nutrition Inventory Specialist will be responsible for investigating and resolving them in a timely manner.
- Stay updated on industry trends: The Nutrition Inventory Specialist will need to stay informed about current industry trends and best practices in inventory management to ensure that the nutrition inventory is managed efficiently and effectively.
- Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines: The Nutrition Inventory Specialist will be responsible for following all safety and sanitation guidelines when handling and storing inventory to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in training and development
Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Nutrition Inventory Management Or Related Field.
Knowledge Of Nutrition Guidelines And Regulations, Including Fda And Usda Requirements.
Strong Organizational And Analytical Skills With Attention To Detail.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With A Multidisciplinary Team.
