- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for surgical patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Perform advanced procedures and interventions within the scope of practice.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on pre and post-operative care and provide support throughout the surgical process.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and communicate updates to the healthcare team.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Stay updated on current best practices and standards in surgical care through continuing education and professional development.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Prioritize and manage a high volume of patients while maintaining a high level of quality care.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
- Serve as a resource and mentor for new nurses and healthcare professionals.
- Represent Johns Hopkins Medicine in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Master's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Program
Current And Unrestricted State License As A Nurse Practitioner
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Surgical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Academic Medical Center
Certification As A Nurse Practitioner In A Surgical Specialty, Such As Acute Care Or Adult-Gerontology
Strong Clinical Skills And Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures, Including Pre-Operative And Post-Operative Care, Wound Management, And Patient Education.
