- Perform nuclear medicine procedures according to established protocols and safety guidelines
- Operate and maintain specialized imaging equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and cleanliness
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients as directed by physicians
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their comfort and safety
- Accurately document and record patient information, including medical history and procedures performed
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review and interpret imaging results
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards, including HIPAA and radiation safety protocols
- Continuously update and expand knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and technology through ongoing education and training
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients and their families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and department efficiency
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating patient appointments and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree In Nuclear Medicine Technology Or A Related Field From An Accredited Program.
Certification From The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (Nmtcb) Or The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In Nuclear Medicine Technology.
Familiarity With Advanced Nuclear Medicine Imaging Equipment And Procedures, Including Pet/Ct And Spect/Ct.
Excellent Communication And Patient Care Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment.
