- Perform MRI procedures: Operate MRI equipment and perform MRI procedures on patients according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patient safety: Ensure patient safety during MRI procedures by following safety protocols and monitoring vital signs.
- Maintain equipment: Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on MRI equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Prepare patients: Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process, answering any questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Position patients: Properly position patients on the MRI table and provide necessary support and padding to ensure accurate imaging and patient comfort.
- Capture images: Capture high-quality images using MRI equipment and make any necessary adjustments to optimize image quality.
- Interpret images: Analyze and interpret MRI images to identify any abnormalities or potential issues, and report findings to the appropriate physician.
- Maintain records: Document all procedures, patient information, and any relevant observations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with healthcare team: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient care and treatment.
- Adhere to safety protocols: Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Participate in training and development: Stay updated on new technology, techniques, and procedures through continuing education and participate in training and development programs as required.
- Provide exceptional patient care: Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism when interacting with patients and their families, and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Adhere to organizational policies: Follow all organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote a safe and efficient working environment.
- Maintain inventory: Keep track of inventory and order necessary supplies to ensure the availability of necessary materials for MRI procedures.
- Support departmental goals: Support the goals and objectives of the imaging department and contribute to overall patient satisfaction and organizational success.
Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or A Related Field.
Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Magnetic Resonance Imaging (Mri).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As An Mri Technologist, Preferably In A Hospital Or Academic Medical Center Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Mri Equipment, Safety Protocols, And Imaging Techniques.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced And Team-Oriented Environment.
