  1. Oversee the daily operations of the Central Sterile Processing department to ensure efficient and timely processing of medical equipment and instruments.
  2. Manage a team of sterile processing technicians, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure high-quality work.
  3. Maintain a safe and sterile environment in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  4. Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure the timely delivery of sterile equipment and instruments for patient care.
  6. Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the sterile processing procedures.
  7. Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain a sufficient stock of sterilized equipment.
  8. Train new staff members on proper sterilization techniques and ensure ongoing education for existing staff.
  9. Stay updated on industry advancements and implement new techniques and technologies in the department to improve efficiency and quality.
  10. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all equipment and instrument processing activities.
  11. Act as a liaison between the Central Sterile Processing department and other departments to facilitate communication and address any concerns or issues.
  12. Address any performance or disciplinary issues with staff in a timely and professional manner.
  13. Collaborate with senior management to develop and maintain departmental budgets.
  14. Participate in performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff on areas of improvement and recognition of outstanding work.
  15. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration Or Related Field

  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (Crcst) Credential

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Sterile Processing, With At Least 2 Years In A Supervisory Or Management Role

  • Knowledge Of Sterile Processing Equipment, Infection Control Protocols, And Regulatory Standards

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Manage A Team And Collaborate With Other Departments Within The Hospital.
