- Monitor and assess infection control practices and procedures to ensure compliance with established guidelines and standards.
- Develop and implement infection control policies and protocols in collaboration with the infection control team.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of patient care areas and equipment to identify potential infection risks.
- Educate and train staff on proper infection control techniques and protocols.
- Investigate and report any potential outbreaks or incidents of infection to appropriate authorities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement infection prevention strategies.
- Stay updated on current infection control trends, practices, and guidelines to continuously improve infection control efforts.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of infection control activities.
- Participate in multidisciplinary committees and meetings to promote infection control awareness and strategies.
- Serve as a resource for staff and patients regarding infection control questions and concerns.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Nursing, Microbiology, Or Public Health.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Infection Control Or A Healthcare Setting.
Certified In Infection Control (Cic) Through The Certification Board Of Infection Control And Epidemiology (Cbic).
Knowledge Of Current Infection Control Practices, Regulations, And Guidelines From Organizations Such As The Centers For Disease Control And Prevention (Cdc) And World Health Organization (Who).
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Educate And Train Healthcare Staff On Infection Control Protocols And Procedures.
