
Histotechnician
At Johns Hopkins Medicine, we are seeking a highly motivated Histotechnician who is committed to delivering the highest quality patient care. Our ideal candidate will have excellent technical and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Histotechnician is responsible for performing routine and complex histology techniques and other related laboratory functions.The successful candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in a biological science or related field and a certification as a Histotechnician (HT) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). In addition, the ideal candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and the capacity to work collaboratively with other clinical and laboratory staff. The ability to maintain accurate records and work in compliance with established regulations, guidelines, and policies is also essential.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and complex histology techniques and other related laboratory functions.
