  1. Prepare and analyze tissue specimens using various histology techniques.
  2. Ensure accuracy and precision in all tasks and maintain strict adherence to laboratory protocols.
  3. Collaborate with pathologists and researchers to provide accurate and timely results.
  4. Operate state-of-the-art equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  5. Maintain and organize laboratory equipment and supplies.
  6. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  7. Keep detailed records of all procedures, results, and observations.
  8. Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.
  9. Stay current with advances in histology techniques and implement them as necessary.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
  11. Prioritize and manage workload to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  12. Assist with training and mentoring new histopathology technicians.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  14. Identify and report any abnormalities or deviations in tissue specimens.
  15. Continuously strive for accuracy, efficiency, and excellence in all tasks.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or Related Field

  • Certification As A Histotechnician (Ht) Or Histotechnologist (Htl) Through The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Histopathology Laboratory

  • Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Safety Protocols And Procedures

  • Excellent Attention To Detail And Ability To Accurately Interpret And Analyze Tissue Samples.
