We are excited to offer this exciting opportunity for an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Practitioner to join our world-renowned cardiac surgery team at Johns Hopkins Medicine! As an integral part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a highly trained and highly specialized group of cardiac surgeons, physicians, and nurses to provide excellent care for our heart transplant patients.We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual who has a passion for providing the highest quality of care to patients and families. To be considered for this position, you must have a Master’s degree in nursing, be certified as a Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, have an active license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, and have at least three years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a cardiac care setting.We understand that this position requires a special blend of clinical expertise and compassion, and that the ideal candidate will possess both. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide excellent care for heart transplant patients as part of a highly specialized team of cardiac surgeons, physicians, and nurses.
  2. Work with patients and families to ensure their needs are met.
  3. Administer medications and treatments to patients in accordance with established protocols.
  4. Document patient information in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
  5. Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results.
  6. Develop and implement patient care plans.
  7. Educate patients and families about post-transplant care and lifestyle changes.
  8. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
  9. Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for patients.
  10. Participate in research activities to improve cardiac care.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing
