
Heart Transplant, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Practitioner
We are excited to offer this exciting opportunity for an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Practitioner to join our world-renowned cardiac surgery team at Johns Hopkins Medicine! As an integral part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a highly trained and highly specialized group of cardiac surgeons, physicians, and nurses to provide excellent care for our heart transplant patients.We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual who has a passion for providing the highest quality of care to patients and families. To be considered for this position, you must have a Master’s degree in nursing, be certified as a Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, have an active license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, and have at least three years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a cardiac care setting.We understand that this position requires a special blend of clinical expertise and compassion, and that the ideal candidate will possess both. Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent care for heart transplant patients as part of a highly specialized team of cardiac surgeons, physicians, and nurses.
- Work with patients and families to ensure their needs are met.
- Administer medications and treatments to patients in accordance with established protocols.
- Document patient information in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results.
- Develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families about post-transplant care and lifestyle changes.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for patients.
- Participate in research activities to improve cardiac care.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing

Current Rn License
Certification As A Nurse Practitioner
