
Fiberoptic Equipment Specialist
Processes, cleans, handles and manages the fiberoptic scopes and endoscopic accessory fleet of the Department. Responsible, primarily for supporting the procedural area staff, to include physicians, nursing, by ensuring that all fiberoptics and accessories are cleaned, high level disinfected or sterilized per protocol, maintained, fully operational, and available for use before the start of cases. Performs processing and handling duties in accordance with departmental policy. Provides prompt, courteous customer service. Responsible for documentation for device tracking and process improvement efforts.
Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) certification
Healthcare related experience preferred
3-6 months of experience with surgical and/or anesthesia procedures, instrumentation and equipment is preferred
