- Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of all facilities and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential maintenance issues and address them in a timely manner.
- Respond promptly to facility repair requests and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Maintain an inventory of necessary supplies and equipment and order replacements as needed.
- Collaborate with other members of the facilities team to complete larger maintenance projects.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and building codes and regulations.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities and report any issues or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and visitors.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve and streamline maintenance processes and procedures.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Is Typically Required For A Facilities Maintenance Technician Role At Johns Hopkins Medicine.
Technical Training Or Certification: A Candidate Should Have Relevant Technical Training Or Certification In Areas Such As Hvac, Plumbing, Electrical, Or Other Building Maintenance Disciplines.
Prior Maintenance Experience: Previous Experience In A Maintenance Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Hospital Setting, Is Often Preferred For This Position.
Knowledge Of Building Codes And Safety Regulations: Facilities Maintenance Technicians Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Relevant Building Codes And Safety Regulations To Ensure Compliance And Maintain A Safe Working Environment.
