We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Endoscopy Technician to join our team on a PRN (as needed) basis. In this role, you will work alongside a team of experienced healthcare professionals to provide top-notch care to our patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.   1. Assist in the preparation of endoscopic equipment and supplies for procedures.
  2. Maintain a clean and organized endoscopy suite, ensuring all equipment is properly sterilized and stocked.
  3. Greet and escort patients to the endoscopy suite, providing compassionate and comforting care.
  4. Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide seamless patient care during procedures.
  5. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the medical team.
  6. Assist with patient positioning and provide necessary support during procedures.
  7. Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  8. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  9. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on best practices and new technologies in endoscopy.
  11. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times, providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  12. Follow all Johns Hopkins Medicine policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  13. Willingness to work flexible hours and be available for on-call shifts as needed.
  14. Attend staff meetings and contribute ideas for improving patient care and efficiency in the endoscopy department.
  15. Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Valid Certification As An Endoscopy Technician From An Accredited Institution.

  • Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Endoscopy Technician, Preferably In A Hospital Setting, Is Required For This Position.

  • Knowledge Of Endoscopy Equipment: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Various Endoscopy Equipment And Be Able To Troubleshoot And Maintain Them As Needed.

  • Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role As The Endoscopy Technician Will Be Working Closely With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Flexibility And Availability: This Is A Prn (As Needed) Position, Therefore The Ideal Candidate Should Be Willing To Work Flexible Hours Including Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays To Meet The Needs Of The Department.
