- Perform echocardiograms on patients using various imaging techniques and equipment.
- Accurately and efficiently interpret echocardiographic results to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans based on echocardiogram findings.
- Maintain patient records and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Educate patients on the echocardiogram procedure and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while performing echocardiograms.
- Keep up-to-date with technological advancements and best practices in echocardiography.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients and their families during procedures.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Continuously evaluate and improve upon echocardiography techniques and processes.
- Attend training and professional development opportunities as required.
- Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or Related Field.
Certification As A Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Rdcs) Or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (Rcs) Through The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Cardiac Echocardiography Lab.
Knowledge Of Cardiac Anatomy, Physiology, And Pathology, As Well As Proficiency In Performing And Analyzing Echocardiograms.
Strong Communication Skills And Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment, As Well As The Ability To Provide Exceptional Patient Care And Maintain Patient Confidentiality.
