  1. Provide excellent customer service to all patients and their families by greeting them with a warm and welcoming attitude.
  2. Assist dietitians in developing and implementing individualized meal plans for patients based on their dietary needs.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure that patients’ dietary restrictions and preferences are met.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and dietary intake information.
  5. Monitor and record patients’ food and fluid intake, as well as any changes in their dietary needs.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, answering any questions or concerns they may have about their dietary plan.
  7. Assist in the preparation and delivery of meals to patients, following all safety and sanitation protocols.
  8. Educate patients and their families on healthy eating habits and lifestyle changes that can improve their overall health and well-being.
  9. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment.
  10. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving the overall patient experience.
  11. Continuously update knowledge on current nutrition guidelines and practices to provide the best care to patients.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, regarding patient care and confidentiality.
  13. Demonstrate a positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times, representing Johns Hopkins Medicine in a positive light.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by the dietitian supervisor or healthcare team.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Dietitian Assistant In A Clinical Setting.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Interact With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Ability To Interpret Nutrition-Related Laboratory Values.

  • Ability To Work Prn (As Needed) And To Adapt To Varying Schedules And Patient Needs.
