- Provide excellent customer service to all patients and their families by greeting them with a warm and welcoming attitude.
- Assist dietitians in developing and implementing individualized meal plans for patients based on their dietary needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure that patients’ dietary restrictions and preferences are met.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and dietary intake information.
- Monitor and record patients’ food and fluid intake, as well as any changes in their dietary needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, answering any questions or concerns they may have about their dietary plan.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of meals to patients, following all safety and sanitation protocols.
- Educate patients and their families on healthy eating habits and lifestyle changes that can improve their overall health and well-being.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving the overall patient experience.
- Continuously update knowledge on current nutrition guidelines and practices to provide the best care to patients.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, regarding patient care and confidentiality.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times, representing Johns Hopkins Medicine in a positive light.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the dietitian supervisor or healthcare team.
Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Dietitian Assistant In A Clinical Setting.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Interact With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Ability To Interpret Nutrition-Related Laboratory Values.
Ability To Work Prn (As Needed) And To Adapt To Varying Schedules And Patient Needs.
