  1. Shadow and assist experienced professionals in conducting CT scans and interpreting images.
  2. Learn and understand the fundamentals of CT technology and its application in the healthcare industry.
  3. Participate in patient care and interactions, ensuring their comfort and safety during the scanning process.
  4. Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of CT equipment and work areas.
  5. Handle and store sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  6. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot technical issues and improve processes.
  7. Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in CT technology.
  8. Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure accurate and high-quality CT scans.
  9. Keep detailed records and documentation of procedures and patient information.
  10. Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  11. Communicate effectively with team members and healthcare staff to ensure smooth workflow.
  12. Take initiative to identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.
  13. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  14. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute ideas for improvement.
  15. Represent Johns Hopkins Medicine in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A Recognized Radiologic Technology Program: Candidates For The Ct Intern Position At Johns Hopkins Medicine Must Have Successfully Completed A Radiologic Technology Program Accredited By The Joint Review Committee On Education In Radiologic Technology (Jrcert).

  • Arrt Certification: The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) Certification Is Required For Prospective Ct Interns At Johns Hopkins Medicine. This Demonstrates A Level Of Competency And Commitment To The Field Of Radiology.

  • State Licensure: Candidates Must Be Licensed By The State In Which They Will Be Working As A Ct Intern. This Ensures That They Have Met The Minimum Requirements For Education, Training, And Competency In The Field Of Radiologic Technology.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: As Medical Emergencies Can Occur In A Ct Setting, Candidates Must Hold A Valid Bls Certification From The American Heart Association Or The American Red Cross. This Certification Ensures That They Have The Knowledge And Skills To Respond To Emergency Situations.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Ct Interns At Johns Hopkins Medicine Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Interact With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members Effectively. This Includes The Ability To Explain Procedures And Provide Emotional Support To Patients Undergoing Scans.
