4. Monitor patient response to medication therapy and adjust treatment plans as needed.

6. Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare providers to develop protocols and guidelines for medication use in surgical patients.
7. Keep abreast of current developments and advances in the field of surgery and pharmacy, and incorporate new information into practice.
8. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to medication use and storage.
9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication safety programs.
10. Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation related to medication therapy.
11. Serve as a resource for other healthcare team members regarding medication therapy and drug-related issues.
12. Train and supervise pharmacy students and residents in the area of surgical pharmacy.
13. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and meetings to provide input on medication-related issues.
14. Collaborate with hospital staff to develop and implement medication management protocols and procedures.
15. Maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and healthcare organizations.
