Clinical Nurse Specialist - Oncology

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: • Active Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Maryland • Advanced degree in nursing or a related field • 5+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Oncology setting • Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN)• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities:

1. Provide direct patient care to oncology patients in accordance with established standards and practices.
2. Educate patients and families on cancer diagnosis, treatments, and self-care.
3. Develop treatment plans and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
4. Monitor and assess patient progress and collaborate with health care providers to adjust care plans as needed.
5. Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives.
6. Remain up to date on the latest advances in oncology treatments and patient care.
7. Maintain active Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Maryland.
8. Adhere to all Johns Hopkins Medicine policies and procedures.
