
Clinical Lab Scientist
Johns Hopkins Medicine is looking for an experienced and dedicated individual to join our team as a Clinical Lab Scientist. In this role, you will be working in our state-of-the-art laboratory to perform diagnostic testing, evaluate results, and report findings to staff physicians. The ideal candidate for this position will have an education in Medical Technology or a related field, a certification in laboratory sciences, and extensive experience working in a clinical laboratory setting. You must also have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities of the Clinical Lab Scientist:
- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to diagnose and treat diseases.
- Evaluate laboratory test results and report findings to staff physicians.
- Establish and maintain a quality assurance program to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
- Follow established laboratory safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct research and develop new procedures to improve laboratory performance and accuracy.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies to ensure proper functioning.
- Train and supervise laboratory personnel in proper laboratory techniques and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure optimal patient care and efficient laboratory operations.
- Comply with local, state and federal regulations and standards.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills
Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or A Related Field
Current Certification From The American Society Of Clinical Pathology (Ascp)
Knowledge And Experience In Laboratory Procedures
Instrumentation And Quality Assurance Programs
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment With Accuracy And Attention To Detail
