Job Description

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking an experienced and talented Certified Sterile Processor to join our team. Our ideal candidate must have excellent attention to detail and the desire to provide exceptional patient care. The Certified Sterile Processor will be responsible for the decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and storage of instruments and equipment.The successful candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a sterile processing role is preferred. A valid certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) is required. A successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

  1. Decontaminate, assemble, package, sterilize, and store instruments and equipment.
  2. Adhere to all sterile processing and hospital policies and procedures.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  4. Ensure all instruments and equipment are in working order.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.
  6. Communicate effectively with other staff members and departments.
  7. Accurately document all processes and data.
  8. Assist with orientation and training of new staff members.
  9. Ensure all safety protocols are followed.
  10. Keep up to date with industry standards and regulations.
