
Certified Nursing Assistant - EM Nursing

- Provide direct patient care: The Certified Nursing Assistant will be responsible for assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Monitor patient vital signs: The candidate will be responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature, and reporting any abnormalities to the nursing team.
- Assist with medical procedures: The CNA will work closely with the nursing team to assist with medical procedures, such as wound care, catheter insertion, and specimen collection, following all safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment: The candidate will ensure that patient rooms and common areas are kept clean and organized, adhering to infection control guidelines to promote a safe and healthy environment for patients.
- Communicate effectively: The CNA will communicate regularly with the nursing team, providing updates on patient conditions and reporting any concerns or changes in patient status.
- Provide emotional support: The candidate will demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients and their families, offering emotional support and providing comfort during their time in the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team: The Certified Nursing Assistant will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
- Follow established protocols: The candidate will adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control, safety, and patient privacy guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation: The CNA will accurately document patient care activities, including vital signs, procedures performed, and patient responses, in accordance with hospital standards.
- Participate in ongoing education: The candidate will participate in educational opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills, staying up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in emergency nursing.
Current Certification As A Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) By The State Of Maryland.
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In Emergency Medicine Or Critical Care Nursing.
Strong Understanding Of Emergency Nursing Procedures And Protocols.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced, High-Stress Environment.
Demonstrated Ability To Provide Compassionate And High-Quality Patient Care, While Maintaining Patient Safety And Confidentiality.
