Job Description

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate must have a current CNA certification and be capable of working in a fast-paced environment. This individual must possess excellent communication skills, be organized and detail-oriented, and have a commitment to delivering compassionate and efficient care. The CNA will be responsible for providing patient assistance with activities of daily living and clinical tasks as directed by the registered nurse. This person will be a valuable member of the healthcare team and must be dedicated to providing the highest level of care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain current CNA certification and stay up-to-date with best practices in healthcare.
  2. Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, eating, and ambulation.
  3. Follow instructions from registered nurses to complete clinical tasks in a timely manner.
  4. Observe and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.
  5. Ensure that safety protocols are followed in the patient care areas.
  6. Provide compassionate and efficient care to patients and their families.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
  9. Remain flexible to changing situations and tasks in the healthcare setting.
  10. Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care plans.
