Job Description

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team. We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about providing the highest quality patient care and has a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will have the required qualifications and an understanding of the importance of superior patient service.To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, registered as a Cardiovascular Technologist with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), and possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred. Your strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities will help you to excel in this role.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform cardiovascular diagnostic tests and procedures in accordance with department protocols
  2. Evaluate patient images and data for accuracy and completeness
  3. Monitor patient safety and comfort during procedures
  4. Maintain patient records and documentation
  5. Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers
  6. Provide patient education and support
  7. Maintain equipment and ensure quality control
  8. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
  9. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies
  10. Adhere to HIPAA, and other applicable regulations and standards
