As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart conditions.   1. Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including echocardiograms, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart conditions.
  2. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout the procedure.
  3. Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring accuracy and quality of images.
  4. Monitor patient vital signs and report any abnormalities to the appropriate medical staff.
  5. Review patient medical history and explain the procedure to them.
  6. Work closely with physicians and healthcare team to determine the appropriate imaging techniques for each patient.
  7. Document and maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information.
  8. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment.
  9. Continuously update knowledge and skills through continuing education and training.
  10. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  11. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  13. Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients and their families.
  14. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
  15. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  16. Attend department meetings and participate in relevant training programs.
  17. Maintain a professional demeanor and represent the hospital in a positive manner at all times.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or department head.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or Related Field.

  • Certification As A Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Rdcs) From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Performing Cardiac Sonography Procedures.

  • Knowledge And Experience With A Variety Of Echocardiography Equipment And Techniques, Including 2D, 3D, And Doppler Imaging.

  • Ability To Accurately Interpret And Analyze Echocardiographic Images And Communicate Findings To Physicians And Other Healthcare Professionals.
