
Biomedical Equipment Technician
Inspects tests, calibrates, troubleshoots, maintains and repairs biomedical and electromechanical devices. This work is performed under general supervision and using the tools and techniques of biomedical technology. Basic familiarity with electronic equipment, biomedical equipment operations, and hospital operating procedures as acquired through an orientation period of one to three months.Identifies and avoids hazards as indicated by warning labels, signage, lights and other warning devices. Performs work within reasonable lengths of time as measured against trade, industry or engineered standards.
