Fluency In Spanish: The Candidate Should Possess Advanced Proficiency In Both Written And Spoken Spanish, As Well As A Thorough Understanding Of Cultural Nuances And Communication Styles.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Social Work: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Social Work Is Required, And A Master's Degree Is Preferred. The Degree Should Be From An Accredited Program And The Candidate Should Have A Strong Academic Record.
Bilingual Social Work Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Working As A Bilingual Social Worker, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Hospital Setting. This Experience Should Include Direct Patient Care And Knowledge Of Social Work Practices And Interventions.
Knowledge Of Hispanic And Latino Culture: The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Hispanic And Latino Culture, Including Traditions, Values, And Beliefs. This Knowledge Will Be Crucial In Providing Culturally Sensitive And Appropriate Care To Patients And Families.
Licensure And Certifications: The Candidate Should Hold A Valid Social Work License In The State Of Maryland And Be Certified As A Bilingual Social Worker. Additional Certifications, Such As Certified Spanish Language Interpreter Or Certified Medical Interpreter, Are Preferred.
